Deviled Eggs Four Ways for Fall
Deviled Eggs are making a comeback whether for Thanksgiving or Spooky-Season! Try each of these 4 combinations for flavourful appetizers!
Serve 24 portions
INGREDIENTS:
- 12 eggs, Hard Boiled
- 6 tbs of mayo
- 2 tbs of WD Red Pepper & Feta spread
- 2 tbs of Roasted Tomato & Basil Bruschetta (liquid drained)
- 2 tbs of Green Olive & Almond Tapenade (liquid drained)
- 2 tbs of Kalamata Olive & Fig Tapenade (liquid Drained)
DIRECTIONS:
Start by peeling your eggs and cutting them in a half lengthwise. Remove the yolks and divide into 4 bowls (3 full yolks each). Keep the egg whites on a tray, covered with Saran Wrap, so they don't dry out.
Once you have mixed up your yolks as instructed below, put each mix into its own piping or Ziplock bag. Pipe each of the mixtures into each of the egg whites. If you're not comfortable piping, you can use spoons to fill the egg whites. Decorate for Spooky Season as pictured below or serve simply with chopped chives.
Red Pepper & Feta Spread Yolk Mix
Mash up your first 3 yolks with a fork. Add 1 tbs of mayo and 2 tbs of WD Red Pepper & Feta Spread. Mix well until smooth, cover or move to a zip bag.
*Halloween decoration: use a toothpick to decorate carve in lines and add a small piece of chives to the top to make a pumpkin.*
Roasted Tomato & Basil Bruschetta Yolk Mix
Mash up your next 3 yolks with a fork. Add 1 tbs of mayo, 2 tbs of WD Roasted Tomato & Bruschetta. Mix well until smooth, cover or move to a zip bag.
*Halloween Decoration: Use red peppers chopped into small triangles to make devil horns.*
Step 4 – Green Olive & Almond Tapenade Yolk Mix
Mash up your next 3 yolks with a fork. Add 2 tbs of mayo, 2 tbs of WD Green Olive & Fig Tapenade. Mix well until smooth, cover or move to a zip bag.
*Halloween decoration: Slice pitted Kalamata olives to create the monster eye pupil, use tiny pieces of egg white to create the eye flare*
Step 5 – Kalamata Olive & Fig Tapenade Yolk Mix
Mash up your next 3 yolks with a fork. Add 2 tbs of mayo, 2 tbs of WD Kalamata Olive & Fig Tapenade. Mix well until smooth, cover or move to a zip bag.
*Halloween Decoration: Use pitted kalamata olives to create spiders, Use the end of the olives to create the head and slice the olive to make the legs.*
